Introduction

Hi Class!

My name is Vinh Bui and I'm really looking forward to starting my first online course with all of you. I grew up in Eugene, lived in Portland for a little while and now am back here to finish up with school and get back out into the working world. My plan is to transfer to the University of Oregon School of Journalism to get a degree in Advertising. I like that advertising is a combination of creativity and logistical planning. It is kind of a perfect blend of right brain and left brain cognition.

I previously worked at a start up video production company where I directed and produced short videos and live streamed Ultimate Frisbee games. This might sound weird to some of you who are unfamiliar, but playing, filming, and coaching Ultimate has been a huge part of my life. Currently, I run a nonprofit with some friends teaching the sport to middle-school-aged kids around the Eugene area.

Like I said before, I've never taken an online class so I'm a little nervous to see how this all works. Thanks for reading and I look forward to reading the rest of these introductions.
